Whilst the latter took home the gold medal, END’s sneaker designs were nothing short of spectacular. This flawless take on the terrace icon flaunts a beige hairy suede base with traditionally woven textile fabrics encompassing the signature T-toe overlay. Colourful vintage tapestries adorn the 3-Stripes and heel tab, highlighted with frayed edges to pull off a retro look. Gold co-branded labels with a cursive “Past” appellation decorate the tongue and sidewalls for a luxe design language. The tapestry-themed sockliner has a special-edition adidas Consortium Cup patch on the footbed, further immortalising the success of the first edition of the sneaker design competition. Preserving the pioneering adidas Samba DNA, the gum rubber sole delivers the finishing touch.
